A manufacturing and distribution firm in New Jersey was wasting time reviewing client prices from their paper files.

Since Peachtree 2008 also held all information in those files, I customized a report, sorted by customer and added shortcuts to the report on everyone's shortcut lists. I also saved multiple copies of the report, one for each of their 10 top clients, in a special reports "group". A link to the groups was added to everyone's shortcut lists.

Now, when one of their top 10 clients call, the report showing every item they've purchased in the past two years opens in two clicks. When any other client calls, they simply run the general report, and then use the report options to filter for that client. They no longer have to place the client on hold, or worse, have to call them back, because the information is on-screen in seconds.

A private school in New Jersey was spending several hours every month manually entering student payments they had hired and service to process.

Working in conjunction with the service, I assisted in the creation of a customized report that allowed the school to download the payment information into a generic text file. Using Excel macros, I developed a process that reformatted the data and imported the file into Peachtree. The whole procedure takes less than 10 minutes regardless of amount of data, saving them hours of data entry each month.
